Today was movie day!  I haven't been to the movies in eons!!!!  Watched 'The Mummy:  Tomb of the Dragon Emperor'.

The show was quite fast paced, just the way I like it.  You don't really have time to think, except er how come Brendan Fraser's son looks more like his younger brother???

My friend later asked me what fragrance I was wearing cos she kept smelling it on me.  I laughed and told her I could only smell her perfume and not mine;)

is coming to Singapore!  Want to catch it;)  So far have manage to drag one of my long time friend to watch with me.  From what I have read, it is a wee bit like Shakespear's Merchant of Venice, which I took for my Cambridge 'O' levels??  Well, except for the 'off with his head' bit.

Composed by Giacomo Puccini, left unfinished at his death and eventually completed by Franco Alfano, the story of Turandot was adapted from Carlo Gozzi's play of the same name based on an ancient Persian folk tale.

The merciless Chinese princess Turandot has made a solemn vow to never marry. Princes come from afar to seek her hand in marriage, but she demands that they answer three riddles before they can claim her as a bride; if they cannot answer them, they will be beheaded. So far, all have failed and perished, until an exiled prince appears and takes up this challenge, leading to a battle of wits that stirs up a maelstrom of passion, transformation and self-sacrifice.

Ok, the place was raved as one of the latest 'IT' place to visit.  So I did. 

IIRC, Hi Tea starts from 2pm-5.30pm (but don't quote me on this).  There are a total of 3 Hi tea menu to choose from.  There are the savouries, the cakes and pastries and a mix of both.

I ordered the cakes and pasties menu cos I was craving for something sweet.  Then I ordered a pot of Brancha Fragolina to go along with the cakes (the waiters were saying it is green tea infused with rose or something.  I thought I tasted osmanthus)

I had thought that the Hi Tea menu is inclusive of the drink but it is not.  So, my total bill, inclusive of the tea, adds up to $35!!  And the teapot was only filled with water enough for 2 cups of tea!!

I doubt I will go back again another time.  Give me Canele anytime!
